You have no control or say in how battles go like in old cod ww2 games like world at war. The D Day mission has no sense of urgency since your safe pretty much during that long ass cutscene. The only way you can fail is by not pulling the trigger. In ww2 you fight in a battle that is scripted to end from an explosion and then a halftrack appears in the middle of the screen, and a rocket launcher is given to you to destroy the halftrack. The tank level is one of the worst offenders with extremely claustrophobic conditions. ![]() ![]() In previous call of duty games you played in a sandbox while it was linear, the level was designed so that you had freedom within levels. ![]() The game is the definition of linear in game design and that is a problem infecting many games today. This is objectively the worst call of duty campaign ever and one of the worst campaigns in gaming. ![]()
